A school where student wellbeing is the foundation of our approach to education

An embroidered image of a heart with 'Elea High Online School' text circling it on the sleeve of a blue jumper

A school that has care at the heart of all it does

At Elea High we wear our “Heart on our sleeves“. In practice this means being open and honest and able to listen to others. This enables us to provide outstanding levels of care and student wellbeing lies at the very heart of everything we do.

Being part of the Elea High community is more than just receiving an education. It is about being heard, being valued and being respected.

In promising this, it enables us to deliver a learning experience that nurtures ALL students, enabling them to grow their self-confidence, be supported through every aspect of their education and, ultimately achieve their ambitions.
The Elea High School Partnership Promise

A true partnership between our teachers, parents and students

By operating as a partnership, it creates a culture of care, support, collaboration, mutual respect and open communication, which are fundamental to an educational environment where everyone thrives.

The result is a school where student welfare is integral to our curriculum and not just an add-on. This is demonstrated with continual student guidance and advice, plus regular support via a Mentor and Coach.

Our comprehensive Personal Social and Health Education (PSHE) curriculum supplements this care with activities that help our students develop the skills of resilience, adaptability, collaboration and consideration for others.

Through our approach, we create a supportive community of young people, teachers and parents who are happy and motivated to do their best for each other.

Our Student Wellbeing Team offers the following support for our students

Experienced and caring teachers who closely monitor the welfare needs of our students, referring any students of concern to our Mentor Coaches, who are always available during school operating times. Student Wellbeing sessions are available to all Elea High Online School students.

The Mentor Coaches, Admissions Manager and the Principal maintain regular communication with parents, advising them in a timely manner of any student welfare matters relating to their child.

A Student Wellbeing Committee, led by the Principal, which meets weekly to review student wellbeing needs.

Psychologist Counsellors who can meet with students if necessary, after agreement with parents.

A registered psychologist is on hand to provide any necessary reports to enable access arrangements for examinations.

As a registered school we take safeguarding very seriously and issues arising are managed by our Designated Safeguarding Leads.

New friends as well as an education

It's not just about grades...

Our discord server offers a safe place for students to meet with their classmates and friends online.

We also run a residential every year, where all students are invited to join their fellow students on a week long trip to bond and learn. In 2025, a large majority of our students attended a residential in Cyprus, which was hugely beneficial and enjoyable for all that attended.
